People think this is a huge issue with facebook, not being able to revoke a friend request. If you send someone a friend request it can sit in their invitations for an indefinite amount of time allowing them access to your profile always without confirming the friend request. Relationships change over time so this can be a privacy issue. I realize a person can be blocked but still, this needs resolved! So what do you do if you want to cancel the request you had just sent?
Follow the following steps:
1. Go to the privacy option in your profile.
2. Block the person, whom you had sent the request.
3. Unblock him after a minute or so, your friend request pending goes away.
4. Now the option, “Add as Friend” appears again.
This is very helpful indeed!
