In Facebook, do you want to hide from some friends by appearing offline like you do in AIM and MSN? If “Yes” is the answer what you need to do to use Facebook chat at first. Simply open up the Facebook Chat and click on Friends List. Create a new friends list called BlockList.
Once the list is created, add those friends to the list that you want to appear offline to. When the list is complete, hover your mouse to the little green icon adjacent to the list and click Go Offline.
Bingo! You will now appear offline to everybody in the BlockList! This is very useful for those who are annoyed by unknown friends… A great way to avoid!
